Our New Class Room

My class room move into room 21 on the 15th of August. Little kids have moved into our old class. I like our new class. Something I was pleased with was that we got moved before the bell ring to go home because if we didn't Mr M had to came in on the weekend. I really enjoyed was trying to get the tables out the door because it was a challenge. Something I found hard was lifting the bookshelf because it was not going up the lip in the doorway. Something that made me think was where to put things in the new classroom because our new class in little.

This is my wonder art that I made because we have just finished the book wonder. I draw August the boy from the book. The words I think describe him are cool beans, kind, funny, smart, boy and wonder. You should read this book, it is a great book.

I got  44/50  88% for stage 6 number knowledge.

I did well in number bonds , multiples and groups and remainders

My number knowledge goal is  how many 10th and 100th

Something I am proud of is  number bonds

Trip to Mars

Blast! I am off to Mars in my rocket! I look out the window and all I can see is smoke. 1 week later I say to Maia we just went outside of gravity and we started to float. Going upside down and doing flips. Then it was time for bed I am sleeping on the wall to night. I hop into bed and Matilda is sleeping next to me and I said to her how long until we are at Mars? 253 day to go. That is  long way to go. 

250 days later 3 day to go. Yay! We got the marble out and threw it in the air the marble floated in the air for 3 min then it went down. Next we got a yoyo and it worked like it did on earth. We are here yay! I hopped out of the spaceship and I floated in the air. I cannot believe that am on Mars. It is awesome!! I did not think it was going to be this red and so many pot holes then I hop back into the spaceship and I got the marble and went outside and played with it.

Reflection for Mid Year

Something I was pleased with was that my class worked together in the waka because if we did not we would will sink. I really enjoyed doing the young leader mud run because we worked together. Something I found hard was pain train because I get puffed and I get stitch. Something that made me think was reading and the different words in my book because I am not the best reader. Something I want to get better at is writing. So I can focus on my work.

This is my park that I made for homework. It has toilets, swing, slide,bench and bin and a skate board ramp. the grass is made of coconut and the path is sand.

Reflection for Waka ride

Something I was pleased with was the my class all paddled together because if we didn't we will not go forward and back.

I really enjoyed learning was that to turn the boat because we turn ourselves around.

Something I found hard was to keep paddling because my hands were sore.  

Something that made me think was the words  and what the mean.

Something I want to get better at is keeping in time to get better I can follow the person it front of me.

We stopped paddling and held our hoe up straight to sky. Saluting to Tūmatauenga, we did our best pūkana. Blaah! Then Jim said Kia riti and we put our paddles down . Next he said tokihi and we chant back tokihi and paddle.
